Jim earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University. He is a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and trained in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screening (FMS) systems, and Dry Needling certified. His educational and clinical background have made him an expert in manual and manipulative physical therapy as well as pain management and exercise prescription. Jim opened Heafner Health Physical Therapy, a cash-based physical therapy clinic, in February, 2016.

When Jim is not treating patients in the clinic, he focuses his attention on educating fellow physical therapists in the profession, teaching in the community, and writing. He has authored 3 books- Sticks and Stones, The Guide to Efficient Physical Therapy Examination, and The Yoga Fix. Additionally his blog, The Student Physical Therapist, attracts upwards of 65,000 views per week.

When does the program start and finish?
We know pain is never convenient so we let you decide when you start and when you finish. The program guides you through 2 phases over a 4-week period of time, but are aware sometimes life gets in the way. If you need to start over or take a break, no problem! One of the best and most CONVENIENT aspects of the Pain Free Project programs is that the program starts NOW and never ends! Our programs are self paced to match your schedule!
How long do I have access to the course?
Lifetime access! We try to make the inconveniences of having pain a little more bearable! After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.

Is there any equipment needed to complete the program?
No, but a foam roller and some type of soft tissue ball is helpful! Our soft tissue self massage videos incorporate both a foam roller and soft tissue ball to assist with the movements. While these items are 'nice to have,' they you do not need them to complete the program. Inside the program, we discuss alternative equipment or strategies to modify the movements.
How much time will the program take me to complete each day?
10 minutes, 5-7 days each week for 4 weeks. (we offer additional learning and reading materials that may require more time, but the exercises are ~10 minutes each day!)
I was diagnosed with 'XX' condition! How can this program help?
